Silicon Material Price Increase by Up To 10.5%

    On January 7, 2026, the Silicon Industry Association released the latest price of polysilicon.

    The transaction price range of polycrystalline silicon for n-type multi-feed was 50,000 - 63,000 yuan per ton this week, with an average transaction price of 59,200 yuan per ton, showing a week-on-week increase of 9.83%. The transaction price range of n-type granular silicon was 50,000 - 64,000 yuan per ton, with an average transaction price of 55,800 yuan per ton, and a环比 increase of 10.5%.

    This week, the domestic market price of polysilicon continued to rise, with increased transaction activity. The number of mainstream signing enterprises rose to 4-5. The transaction prices of new orders mostly increased to over 60,000 yuan per ton, and old orders were also being executed one after another. The continued rise in polysilicon prices this week was mainly driven by three factors: Firstly, the production capacity of silicon materials continued to decline, leading to an increase in the comprehensive cost of polysilicon per unit product. Based on the pricing mechanism where the selling price covers the cost, enterprises had a strong desire to adjust prices. Secondly, the prices of downstream silicon wafers and battery cells were successively raised, increasing the acceptance of the price increase of silicon materials. Thirdly, the component end, supported by existing orders, showed a certain tolerance for the price increase from the upstream, supporting the purchasing intention.
